Greip Patent Renewal Service brings visibility and certainty to annuity management
Greip has launched a new Patent Renewal Service that combines a digital annuities platform, a verified process, and IP expertise into a single solution. The service is designed for organizations that want to manage patent annuities without unnecessary administrative burden or the risk of missed deadlines.

Greip® Base included — all patent-related work on one platform, agent-independent
As part of the annuity service agreement, customers also gain access to the Greip® Base platform — a key differentiator of the service in the market. Greip® Base combines annuity and deadline management with the full patent and utility model prosecution process — from drafting and filing through to grant — on a single platform, regardless of which patent agent or agents the customer uses. This means customers are not tied to a single IP partner; they retain the freedom to work with multiple agents while still managing all their patent-related activity from one view: deadlines, documents, tasks, communications, and costs all in one place.
Greip® Base is already a complete, standalone solution on its own, but as needs grow it can be expanded step by step into broader IP portfolio management — all the way to a full-scale IPMS solution (Greip™ 10), which is also ready for agentic AI capabilities.
Two service models for different needs
Greip Patent Renewal Service offers two ways to manage annuities:
- Autopay Service — annuities are paid automatically, and the customer only needs to flag patents to be allowed to lapse. This model suits situations where most rights should be maintained, and includes a 10% discount on service fees.
- Controlled Renewal Service — the customer makes active pay/abandon decisions, with upcoming costs and deadlines displayed to support decision-making. This model suits situations where the patent portfolio is actively reviewed by country or business need.
Both models are backed by a verified process: automated reminders, two-person review, quality control, and a confirmed payment process ensure that critical deadlines are never missed and that customer instructions are carried out correctly.
